Bohemian
Crystal of the Czech Republic is the only company in the world
that provides this specialty chandelier ... the enamel overlay
chandelier. And it is no wonder; this specialized, traditional
technique is so complex that only master artisan craftsmen
are able to achieve the luster and splendor of such a magnificent
craft.
The Enamel
Overlay process has three basic steps:

The craftsmen start with pure (clear) Bohemian Crystal. |
| 2.
|
A layer of
transparent crystal is added, which is available in
three brilliant colors: ruby, green, and blue. |
| 3.
|
In the final application, the outer surface is coated
with an opaque white. |
After the
application of the opaque white, all three layers are fused
together. To complete the piece craftsmen cut, by hand, small
oval "windows" that allow light to illuminate through.
Finally, the distinguishing finishing touches are added, hand
painted floral designs and a gold floral decorative motif.
